Fullstack Job: Front End Engineer

Our client is a company that was founded in 2009 and became marketleader in providing reviews with a community of influential consumers. They have a passion for sharing the products they love via Word of Mouth advertising (WOM). Their database has a big variety of clients who request the collaboration of their community to voice their honest opinion and help excellent products to stand out from the crowd. These reviews are of course very important, because this means their product will have a better name when launched into the market. They offer a wide variety of products for testing. For example: consumables, beauty products as well as electronics. The database of consumers consists out of millions of users. Our client operates all over the world and is active in 40 countries but their head office is in the Breda region. Some names of clients that provide products on their website for testing are Samsung, Garnier, Starbucks, Gilette, HP and Philips.

What will be your role?

The team you will be working with consists of 4 dynamic Software Developers (3 Frontend Developers and 1 Fullstack Developer). These Developers are all Medior/Senior level and know their way around the techstack that you will be working with. You will be reporting to their Product Owner but also to the IT Manager.

On the Frontend they work with Vue and on the Backend they work with PHP7. Your task will be to create a look to their website and applications. They are looking for a dynamic Frontend Developer, to build exciting new functionality and continue transforming their legacy product in THE reference product according to market standards.

Some examples of the task description are:

• Translate Business requirements in working software
• Research new epics to outsource or insource
• Develop new functionality and maintaining their platforms, using technologies such as PHP (Symfony), Vue and Javascript according to marketstandards
• Take responsibility for the delivery off high quality work

You'll be working in a international environment and the main language is English. You will be working fully remote with occassionally 1 day at the office in consultation with your manager.

What do you bring to the table?

• Medior/Senior Development experience
• Experience in transforming legacy code into modern and maintainable applications, you want to write efficient and clean code with understanding that perfect does not exist.
• Experience in designing is a big plus, Experience in modern Frontend frameworks, libraries and tooling for creating components (storybook is a big plus)
• Someone who enjoys working in Agile environments and enjoys bringing continuous improvements to existing software
• Excellent skill in the English language. You'll be working in a international department with people from around the world

What will you get in return?

• A salary range of up to 60K a year, dependant on your knowledge and skillset
• 25 vacation days, based on 40 hours a week
• 8% holiday pay
• €100,- net as compensation for working at home
• The option to work fully remote
